Janna's Cancer Blog

October

Chemo once every two weeks now, which is much better than before. I really feel sick for about two to three days after but then pretty good. I still have back problems but I just have to deal and find a way to live with it.Overall doing pretty good, but I have gained over 40 pounds and am really depressed with it. The least that could happen is that I could be semi-thin during this, but noooooo not only do I feel bad inside but looking in the mirror is devastating. I need help. Happy Halloween

Hi there

It is really good to read stories from other myeloma patients. Sometimes we forget that there are others like us out there. I guess that I am really upset by people assuming that because I am not in bed or heavily medicated from pain, that I cant really be that sick. I dont need sympathy i need understanding that I cant do as all of the things I used to.
I have gone for three years with back pain that by the end of the day leaves mu hunched over. The kyphoplasty helped some but not 100%. So I do a little of the things that used to be my responsibility and then rest for a while. I do this several times a day, just so my husband can ret some too.
One thing that really bothers me is my crying over the littlest things. I cant control it and will cry anywhere anytime. I would really like to stop because people are really surprised by it and I am sure very uncomfortable when it happens.

hang in there. i wish you pain-free days.
